


Fractured But Still Dancing
Based on a small 8x8” sketch done in 2008.
It held key elements of one of my Views From Above series but in this initial sketch, I’d captured something too deep and meaningful to let it slip away. But it was lost until I was rearranging my studio’s furniture at the beginning of Covid Isolation. I’d always thought what I captured in that sketch needed to be larger! And I happened to have a blank white canvas ready for my oil paint.
